RwandAir Takes Delivery of New Boeing 737, Scheduled to Land in Kigali Today
Rwanda's national
carrier, RwandAir has made a new acquisition; a Boeing 737-800NG which is expected in
Kigali today having left Seattle in the United States on Monday.
The Boeing aircraft is the first of two new orders from the American Airframe manufacturer.
The new aircraft
christened 'Kalisimbi' is expected to increase the airline's fleet to
ten aircraft and it is expected to facilitate the carrier's growing
route network both on the continent as well as beyond.
The airline in September acquired a brand new Airbus 330-200, - nicknamed 'Ubumwe' (unity). (click on highlighted text to read more)
The expansion of
the fleet is at a time when the airline is preparing to commence services to Gatwick (LGW), London's second-busiest airport next year (click to read more) as well as
the American market during 2017.
