Camerounian National Carrier shuts down long - haul operations
Camair - co, the Camerounian National Carrier has announced its exit from long haul operations in a restructuring move which is designed to streamline costs and shed losses. Long haul oprations are expensive and highly intricate ventures, it is easy to see why a small carrier such as Camair - Co which lacks a dense short haul network that would have provided passenger feed for its long haul operations, ran into difficulties in its long haul operations. Cutting its sole long - haul route is definitely a smart move which will definitely improve the carrier's bottomline. The airline's management has wisely decided to focus on growing its domestic and international short haul operations, a move that should ultimately improve the carrier's fortunes.

domestic market by developing routes to the north-western and western
cities of Bamenda and Bafoussem in particular. It already serves Garoua,
Maroua, N'Gaoundéré, and Yaoundé Nsimalen using its MA-60 and B737-700
