Arik celebrates 10th Anniversary with unveiling of new aircraft
Arik air today marked its milestone 10th anniversary. The airline which commenced scheduled flight operations in 2006 has swiftly grown to become the largest air carrier in West and Central Africa. To mark its 10th anniversary, the airline unveiled a new addition to its fleet of aircrafr - a CR-J 900 as well as announced the commencement of a new service linking the Nigerian cities of Lagos and Port - Harcourt with Libreville, Gabon.
Arik Air has in recent times been hit with a number of setbacks such as the downturn in the Nigerian economy due to the global drop in crude oil prices as well as the negative impacts of Nigeria's recent foreign exchange policies. The airline was recently forced to suspend services albeit temporarily after being unable to meet up with its financial obligations.
Here's wishing Arik Air a happy 10th Anniversary and looking forward to strong growth in the years ahead!
